Prior to the start of the NDSR Training workshop, you will need to have your computer prepared with the current version of NDSR as well as the ability to access Zoom. We also recommend completing some practice activities in the program in order to help you get the most out of training.
If you do not already have the current version of NDSR installed on your computer, please contact NDSRhelp@umn.edu to request a temporary copy of NDSR. You will be provided with a link to download the program. You will need Administrative access to your computer in order to install the program. Once you have installed the program, you will be prompted to contact NCC for a password, which will give you access to the program through the end of the workshop. Email the site code, which will be displayed, to NDSRhelp@umn.edu and we will send you the password. The Trainers will not be able to provide passwords on the day of training, so please be sure that you have completed this the week prior to training.
If you do not already have Zoom installed on your computer, please visit zoom.us and install the program and perform an audio test. You will need to be able to hear the trainers and to be heard in order to fully participate in the training.
Prior to the training workshop, we ask that you complete the NDSR Tutorials as an introduction to the program. Most trainees say that doing them before the workshop was helpful. If you are limited for time, even just completing the first seven pages will give you an introduction to the program.
