The User Product record type allows you to enter dietary supplement and antacid products that are not found in the DSAM database.Once the User Product is created and added to the DSAM database, the User Product may be selected and inserted into the DSAM
portion of the NDSR intake record. Below is the data that NDSR output files include for User Products. These output files are infrequently used in data analysis. If you have questions about the files, see Chapter 8, Managing NDSR Output of the NSDR User Manual or contact ndsrhelp@umn.edu.

DSAM User Product Totals File (Output File 20): Contains nutrient content of the DSAM User Product per serving

DSAM User Product Ingredient File (Output File 21): Contains the ingredients and amount per serving for the DSAM User Product
