Food and Nutrient Database

The NCC Food and Nutrient Database is linked with NDSR, serving as its backbone. The database may also be licensed for other applications, such as providing nutrient values for foods on food frequency questionnaires. The license agreement and price are based on scope of use.

The USDA Nutrient Data Laboratory is the primary source of nutrient values and nutrient composition. These values are supplemented by food manufacturers' information and data available in the scientific literature.

• Values for 160 nutrients, nutrient ratios and other food components.


• Includes 9 food group assignments with 166 subgroups (pdf).
