33rd National Nutrient Databank Conference Presentations

The 33rd National Nutrient Databank Conference was held on April 17th in New Orleans, preceding the 2009 Experimental Biology meeting. The conference theme was "Innovations in Food Composition and Nutrition Research: A Global Perspective."

The Nutrition Coordinating Center presented two abstracts at the conference.

• Dr. Lisa Harnack presented findings of a study examining the market reflectiveness of nutrient values found in a commercial database.
  
  
• A second presentation reported findings from a study evaluating the completeness and accuracy of nutrient composition information provided on food manufacturers' websites.
