The Nutrition Coordinating Center (NCC)

NCC provides databases, software, training, and services for the collection and analysis of dietary data. NCC distributes and supports dietary analysis software applications for the collection and coding of 24-hour dietary recalls and the analysis of food records, menus, and recipes. Software available include Nutrition Data System for Research (NDSR).

NCC also maintains a comprehensive research-quality food and nutrient database. This database is linked with NDSR, serving as its backbone. The database may also be licensed for other applications, such as providing nutrient values for foods on food frequency questionnaires.

A variety of services are available through NCC including NDSR training and certification, collection of telephone 24-hour dietary recalls, and entry of food records.
